Muscular Systems of Sea Anemones
The muscles of sea anemones are much simpler than those of most other animals. Cells in both the inner layer and the outer layer have fibers in them, but these are not actually muscles because they are free in the body, like the muscles of less simpler animals. A sea anemone's muscular system is actually very important because a sea anemone has no brain, so it uses a system of nerves which are connected to sense organs and muscles instead. A sea anemone does have other muscles located in tissues and other places. These muscles are used to shift around the column, which is an oral disk. The mouth is in the center of this column, and the tentacles are also located on it.
