The LeechLeeches are a type of segmented worm with two suckers on both ends that attach to the victim and drain their blood. Leeches are found in wet freshwater environment’s and usually feast on insects and slugs. Leeches were previously used as medicinal purposes as far back as ancient Greece to remove blood from the body.

The Muscular SystemThe muscular system of the leech is similar to the earthworm in that it consists of both a longitudinal and circular muscles that contract in order to allow for movement along with an oblique muscle between the longitudinal and circular muscle layers.
