The Giant Clam
The giant clam is the largest member of the class Bivalvia. Bivalves are found mostly in aqautic environments. The main muscular system of bivalves consists of adductor muscles, which is actually what people eat when they eat clams, oysters, or similar seafood. The adductor muscles controls the opening and closing of the bivalve shell, which is used to propel the organism through its water environment .
