The Atlantic blue crab, or simply the blue crab, is a familiar crustacean and a common seafood delicacy. The blue crab belongs to the class Crustacea, which includes crabs, prawn, shrimp, lobsters, and crawfish. The blue crab, like other crabs, has muscles around its organs, particularly in its eight legs and two claws. These muscles help the crab move its legs and use its claws for grasping food, prey, or other surfaces. As a matter of fact, crab muscle is an edible food commonly eaten by people today.
