The Muscular SystemThe muscular system of planaria consists of a hydrostatic skeleton. They have a fluid filled gastrovascular system(pictured above) that is lined with contractile fibers. The fibers contract in order to allow the planarian to move. Along with the gastrovascular system, planaria have cilia on thier bottom side to allow them to glide along surfaces.
